Description
Herodotus places the home of the Amazons in Sarmatia, in the north of what is now Turkey, making them most likely a Phrygian people. The Phrygians are mainly known for wearing rather funny hats which in Roman times were a symbol of freed slaves.
Anyway, Herodotus leads me to assume that Themyscira, although usually supposed to be Mediterranean, is in fact somewhere in the Black Sea. Starting from that (and an illustration of a Phrygian warrior in a book), I drew this little "period" Wonder Woman.
This was fun. Maybe I'll do a whole Collegia Iusta.

I love that idea! There's nowhere near the amount of US-vibe to her costume that the current stuff has, and that's good. Question, what did you use to colour it?
